Histories and Herstories Experienced by Bus
Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture
Papers, work, place(s) of residence
What political demands were brought to the streets of Linz, and when? How have these been inscribed into the city itself? Focusing on the theme ›papers, work, place(s) of residence‹ requires one to unlearn the ways in which one is used to looking during (the preparation of and when taking) a traditional bus tour. The afternoon tours therefore discussed issues related to labor and migration, state regulations and forms of self-empowerment.
In cooperation with the University of Art and Industrial Design Linz, independent radio Fro, artists Alexander Jöchl and Stefanie Seibold and dramaturge Marty Huber
With artistic and discursive contributions by: Vida Bakondy, Vlatka Frketic, FROzine Redaktion, iftaf, Sabrina Kern, maiz, Gerda Martinez-Lopez, Claudia Nickl, Christine Pavlic, Recherchegruppe für Schwarze österreichische Geschichte und Gegenwart, Andreea Sasaran, Sexy Shock and the International Committee of the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe, Helene Siebermair, Katharina Struber, Zelimir Zilnik.
